Jokowi , the president’s nickname, had promised to take stronger measures after Indonesia’s drop in the corruption index rankings last month.Attention has shifted to Sri Mulyani Indrawati, a former World Bank Managing Director, who has been the Minister of Finance twice and is a trusted ally of Jokowi . Although not involved in the scandal, she is facing calls on social media to resign. Indrawati has taken to the media to restore public confidence in the institution and ensure tax compliance before the end-of-month filing deadline.***
